Diane Sawyer

Diane Sawyer, the noted journalist, is known for being on Richard Nixon’s White House staff and for her work on Good Morning America and World News Tonight on ABC.

She was also known to be subtle with her sign off on the latter by saying and I quote “I’ll see you right back here tomorrow night”. But that’s not all she was subtle about.  She had quiet racism .

In her ABC special “Screen Time” which aired last Friday

night, she speaks about even the animals having screen time. She cuts to the birds and dogs doing screen time and then to a chimpanzee on Instagram, after which she quickly cuts back to a dog.

I take umbrage to the Instagram clip because I’M on Instagram and Mr Kenny Gamble of TSOP fame is also on Instagram, whom I follow.

She at one point put Jamaica in a very bad light. This was when I was living in Miami.  She was saying that Cuba was in a far better condition than Jamaica (to paraphrase).

She’s now up for an award from Disney along with Robin Roberts and Oprah and I’m asking these two ladies to use their clout and boycott the awards ceremony or have Ms Sawyer lose the award. Ms Roberts and Oprah together are a force to be reckoned with.

As mentioned before “Screen Time” aired last Friday night and I hope that it was watched.
