There is nowhere.

No jet to jump on, no weekend getaway, no destination race, no conference, no road trip, no heading to a cabin for the weekend, no international business meeting, no Friday afternoon flight for a change of pace. Not even cocktails or dinner parties at my place, no meeting friends for brunch, dinner, or happy hour in NY, DC, Miami, LA, HK.

I remember periods where my head would spin with the itineraries, dumping one suitcase to pack another, sleeping in airport lounges during travel delays, checking in on Pepper via pet cam, running to make connections, emptying envelopes filled with travel expense reports that needed to be translated and currencies converted.

As much as I think about the stark contrast of quarantine, I don’t miss those busy business & social schedules one bit.
